It was a perfect spot to warm up on a cold weekend afternoon and if we're back in the area, we would certainly return based on the service and the food.TORONTO-( BUSINESS WIRE)- Flow Beverage Corp. Antlers offered an interesting craft beer selection and they were very kind about bringing a few small samples until decisions were made. Our friends ordered the french onion soup (which they would not recommend in comparison to others they've had elsewhere), and a bacon cheddar burger and truffle pasta, both of which they thoroughly enjoyed. The combination of the 7 cheeses (swiss, gouda, parmesan, cheddar, white cheddar, bleu, and Monterey jack) was good, but what it was missing, in my opinion, was some melted cheese over the top - just a few minutes under the broiler to really make it pop (and keep it warm at our table). Considering it's listed on their menu under the "favorites," we thought that it was going to be memorable. There was nothing at all wrong with it, there was just nothing special about it. Our only slight disappointment was the mac & cheese. I thought the basic bun served was just fine, but my husband would have preferred going with the pretzel bun. They offered a pretzel bun for an upcharge, which we turned down. ![]() ![]() The burger was very good and prepared to medium, as requested. ![]() My husband and I shared a mushroom swiss burger (with candied onions), a house salad (homemade tangy Dijon vinaigrette dressing was delicious), and the 7 Cheese Mac & Cheese. ![]() Therefore, our service was great - prompt, friendly, and helpful. We were actually served by several people, assumingly because they were not busy. The place was very quiet, but I imagine that it's packed during the summer, based on its location. Antlers met the criteria, so we settled in at a table near the fire to thaw out. We spent the morning exploring some cold, wet hiking trails and our only guideline for lunch was that there be a working fireplace. ![]()
